Looking Back on 2014

Our 2014 farmers market season exceeded our expectations.  We had a great variety of vendors who, each week, brought you the best of what they had to offer.  They worked hard, but always made the time to greet you with a smile and answer any questions you may have had.   Our weekly cooking demonstrations by John were popular with our customers, and also our vendors!  His enthusiasm every Saturday was a pleasure.  His recipes each week used local, seasonal vegetables and were delicious, unique and loved by many.  Our farmers market porch came alive with music for the first time and continued through the season.  Many times I would look up and see a new face, or two.  Incredibly talented, all local, musicians who obviously enjoyed what they were doing, but I believe that the crowds enjoyed them even more.   All of this wouldn’t have been possible without our loyal customers.  The positive feedback I received from them reinforced what we had always envisioned for the market-a weekly destination spot with good, local food, talented artisans, entertainment and the opportunity to learn about how we grow our food, pollinate our crops, and create meals.  A destination where people come each week, first as vendors and customers, and later friends.  Scott and I are forever grateful for the part that each of you have played in this vision.
